Cleveland Fire rescues workers left hanging after scaffolding collapses downtown

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Fire rescued two workers who were left dangling from the outside of a building after scaffolding collapsed Wednesday afternoon.

According to a social media post, firefighters responded to the area of West Lakeside Avenue and West 6th Street around noon for an emergency rope rescue.

Cleveland Fire said three workers tuckpointing brickwork were left hanging by safety harnesses when the scaffolding collapsed.

One worker was able to self-rescue through a window, and the other two were rescued by firefighters.

Cleveland Fire said there were no injuries reported.
